guess where I am! That's right, the Scullys' house, babysitting their kids, as well as Ms Hopkins' and Mr Rodgers'... four kids. Just me. DVD player in Laura's room, PS2 in here... can a job be any easier? I love Sony... without them, we babysitters would have a tough time with all these kids... but pop in Kate & Leopold in the DVD player and Crash Team Racing in here... and I can even find time to entertain you odd people who visit my site. go away.
So, my day: it's funny what I consider an effective day of work... I read 39 pages of a history thesis on Portuguese Neutrality (as that is what I intend to focus on for the EE) ... and that was it. I guess you could say I also thought about what I'd do... but today was effective, for many reasons, which I will list in no apparent order.
1) I got to play playstation 2 and beat Jack in Euro2k4 (Portugal 1 v Norway 0) of course, he's eight... but still, I don't have a PS2...
2) I had a lovely expensive (hehe, u still owe me) lunch with Kaz... after carefully considering walking for half and hour to go to McDonalds, we ate at the (or deservedly) 5 star restaurante 'O Biscoito', Bitoques all around, 2 cokes and a cigarette. What we talked about, I won't say, because a) it's none of your business and b) I don't quite recall.
3) I stayed up until 5 am this morning... having a wonderful chat with Bia (the mysterious beauty shown in the pic) and once again, I won't share what it was about... for the same reasons. I hope she gets the chance to get on my site despite her shitty internet and i hope she enjoys her 15 minutes of fame that go hand-in-hand with a mention on my site.
4) I'm getting paid while I type this (and if Scully reads is, yes, I'm watching the kids, they're playing with the fork by the electrical socket)
5) I do feel like i got some work done.
6) I found a fantastic website... it's like e20questions... you think of a dictator or sitcom character, it asks you a buncha questions, and it gets it right e v e r y time... well, some of them it doesnt have, but the way they deal with that is great... you write the next question and improve the site. For example, I added Salazar (at least in one thread) because all I got was Leopold of Belgium... but seriously, this works for more than just dictators and soap characters, try real people too (yes, I know dictators are people too) and you can try it here
So, I think i'll wrap this up because... well, the kids have stopped giggling and I can smell something that smells like singed hair...
So, for today, thanks mum for waking me up and not getting too pissed off, thanks papa for driving me to work and not harassing me (mentally, u pervs) thanks Bia for a reason to stay up until 5 in the friggin morning, thanks zak for yummy and fun lunch and thanks nadia, for destroying my self esteem and ripping out my heart. Just kidding, it was fun. Oh, and thanks to whoever sent me the link for the Lego Spiderman 2 bit... and i suspect it was Mags. but thanks.
Of course it was me... but I'm a little ticked at your censouring me and I thought you might enjoy it despite the fact I can't see it. I thought it might be stop-animation or whatever it's called, and well, since you're into that...
