Jill got pissed off at me today. Shit happens... that was a downer. Up till then, it was a good day. I was well behaved and everything (I think)
Let me explore the good part, though. Firstly, and best for my ego, I was told that by Iny that my site has become a "hotspot" for her and her friends... that's nice to know. I thought no-one (there's that word again) came to my site... with the exception of Jess, Marg and the still anonymous Lioness. You're all welcome, and please leave comments.
This may seem wierd, but I went to dinner with my parents at my maid's house, and it was really fun. Her kids, both 13, are fans of mine, and better yet, they have a PS2, and Pro Evolution Soccer 3. What a fun game... too bad I suck at it, despite my practice at Dan's. I only managed to beat them if they scored own goals, which they swore were by mistake... sure. It's nice to be pampered, though (not like that!) Anyway, dinner was nice too. Cristina (my maid) made us feel very comfortable, and her husband wasn't too unpleasant. I mean, he's nice... but very crude. How snobby am I? (rhetorical question). Now, to those unfamiliar with the way my family works, it may seem wierd to be going to my maid's house for dinner. Just let me clarify two things:
1) She just moved in, and it's very nice, and so she invited us over
2) She's worked for us for 17 years, since I was very much more petit than I am today. She's like extended family. It's great fun...
I don't know if I mentioned this already, but it's certain now: Ruben, Zack and I are going to Italy. I can't wait... one more country to add to my list (of countries I've been to... bringing the total up to 11, I think) and tomorrow Ruben and Zack are coming over to plan what to do in our extra day and night in Rome. You see, we're not going as a holiday. We're staying at a mutual friend of the family's, hopefully to get some work done, and more importantly, figure out our priorities in life. It's gonna be great... Ruben, Zack and I are more than the best of friends (and I don't mean we're lovers... they won't admit it). I'll bring you back something nice... like photos.
I'm really looking forward to school next week. I mean... there's nothing like it. It's like living in pressure cooker, and it's only a matter of time until I pop... I just found out the first draft of my Extended Essay (what Extended Essay) was due on Tuesday. I don't even know what to do my Extended Essay on... fuck. Evacuate soul in ten, nine, eight... (if you're in the mood, that's also a quote, see if you can spot it)
Speaking of quotes, the last one was recognised, yes, it was from Batman and Robin, though I'm sure Jess is cheating somehow... nobody remembers anything from Batman and Robin, because it was so crap. Anyway, the next quote is from a great movie. Zack would get it straight away... and he's who I rate everyone else against. Though I think Jess knows the movie well enough to spot it, too. Here it is:
"there are two kinds of people in this world: those who stand up and face the music, and those who run for cover. Cover is better."
Remember, you need to make the connection between this and Batman and Robin, though it's fairly obvious.
Anyway, I had more in mind to write, but it's not going to happen... except thank 'anonymous' (if that is your real name...) for the very flattering chatter. I could swear I was having my leg pulled... and if now, you know where to find me ;)
Oh, one more thing. I'm always trying out new code, and I put something new in that you may want to use. If you like a certain post, and want to tell people about it, now Blogger lets you email it... however, the link is, unfortunately, invisible. If you put your cursor just to the left of the '::' in the header line of each post, you should see the link... and share at will.
