This weekend, my attempt to completely forget about exams was a complete success.
I started by going out on Friday, first to Olivia's, then Cascais, then on to Nathans. Lets just say I didn't sleep very much... Saturday I went to the cinema, saw Ocean's 12, spent the next day or so trying to figure it out. It seems like they had it all planned, but there are parts they couldn't have... I think they were just doing the gimmick. I liked the movie, but am unimpressed by the ending... well, I will be once I figure it out, I'm sure I'll be unimpressed.
All joking aside (as if), my exams have been going ok. Do I say this because it's truth, or because my mother asked for the URL so she could check out my site? hmm...
Speaking of which, my mother said she'd heard about the site and wanted me to email her the address. What do you all think? Is my stuff sanitary enough to risk my mother reading it? I'm terribly frightened... I need your help. hehe. It could be what my shrink calls a breakthrough with my mother, though... that would be 'pleasant', says the doc.
Remember when I mentioned the funky art stuff I did to Zack's shirt? well, I've been messing around with Photoshop some more. I'm no expert, and I only have the standard brushes, so I can't make extreme art, but I like what I've done so far. At school, I saw Margarida (aka, Marg) on deviantART.com, so I thought I'd sign up and get some of my stuff on there. All in the spirit of forgetting about exams... anyway, to check out my work, just go to Geert's Gallery and knock one out. Leave comments if you wish. I'll be putting some more art soon, maybe the pictures of Zack's Shirt. You'll see...
Thanks to Noelle (now 16) I downloaded Ares, and have been downloading Simpsons episodes by the case... very fun. I got the Lord of the Flies episode, now even funnier that I've read the book. The ending completely satirises the ending in the book... but i won't ruin it for you. I also got an episode where Soccer comes to Springfield, and Homer is quoted as saying "I'll kill myself if Portugal doesn't win"... damn straight, homer... damn straight.
I'm currently reading 'True History of the Kelly Gang', by Peter Carey, about Ned Kelly (reeeeeeaaaally?) and it's quite good. Ned writes without any punctuation, and anyone who's ever argued with me about using, like, five, hundred, commas, in, a, sentence, knows, that, i, need, my, punctuation. It's fun, though. I never know what's really going on. And what's a 'cove'? as in a person... I'm confuddled. In the spirit of that, I watched the Ned Kelly movie with Olivia ("it's a true story??"... more than that, he's a legend in her country) and it was... ok. I mean, cool just because they shoot people, but it wasn't so interesting. Wouldn't have been missed if I hadn't rented it.
That's it for now. my hands are cold and I keep missing the keys I'm reaching for and I hate hitting backspace so I don't feel like doing it anymoer. Goddam it...
only because you were kind enough to ask :) and yay! I'm glad to see you've created an account, I'll look forward to stalk... I mean looking, at that too. As for the Simpsons...... we must find a way for you to get those episodes to me =D (I'm not allowed FTPs... grr...)
